The most vulnerable people in the community are being given food, facial masks, and soap.
The people most severely affected by the spread of COVID-19, and the most likely to die, are our senior citizens. Another of the most vulnerable groups are those families whose income is based on daily insufficient wages. This lack of income results in limited food for their children, who suffer from malnutrition. These two categories of vulnerable people have compromised immune systems, which can make them less likely to survive COVID-19. But, if we urge them to stay in the houses, they may not die from COVID-19, but hunger. Therefore, we are distributing food and simple hygiene materials (soap and face masks) to these vulnerable community members to allow them to meet their basic needs and stay safely in their homes.
